Facebook removed posts belonging to President Trump’s official account claiming that the Corona virus is less dangerous and deadly than the flu, and in turn, Twitter has hidden its tweets on the same topic and placed a warning that it may contain misleading information.
This measure comes from both social platforms after President Trump returned to the White House, ending his stay in hospital for treatment for the past three days, after it was proven to be infected by the virus.
Trump’s tweet said he had learned to live with the flu season as we lived with Corona, reducing the severity of the issue, as the annual flu season approaches with the onset of fall and winter.
Facebook communications director Andy Stone has confirmed that disinformation about the severity of Covid-19 is being removed, and Trump’s post has therefore been removed.
At the same time, President Trump opposed Facebook’s behavior, referring to so-called “Section 230,” a section of the law stating that social networks are not responsible for posted content. by users and therefore cannot be sued for it.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Trump’s posts and tweets have been deleted and disappeared with a warning message to users.إقرأ أيضا:Naked examination. An objective look at all this hate and praise
